みなさんは、音楽をどんなサービスで聴いていますか。私 ぶろっこり は、音楽関係のサブスク(定額配信サービス？)として、 Apple Music や Prime Music を利用しています。便利ですよね。Apple Music には、For You という、自分のもっている曲や過去の視聴曲などから「あなたにおすすめの曲」を毎週つくってくれるサービスがあります。とくにこれと言って聞きたい曲がないときなどに、よくお世話になっています。そんなリストを聞いているとその中に、「あれこの曲なんだっけ」という引っかかる曲がでてきます。耳なじみがあるんだけど、誰のなんとういう曲か思い出せない。今週のリストの中では、この曲がそれでした。ということで、今回のピックアップはこの曲です

Daydream と言えば、モンキーズのデイドリーム・ビリーバーが文句なしに有名だと思いますし、エバーグリーンな曲なので、いつか取り上げたいと思っています。けれど、この曲 デイドリーマー Daydreamer もなかなかいい曲ですよ。

デヴィッド・キャシディ（David Cassidy, 1950年4月12日 – 2017年11月21日）は、アメリカ合衆国の俳優・歌手・ミュージシャンである。
1969年にブロードウェイデビューを果たし、舞台の分野でキャリアをスタート。後にその演技力がキャスティング・ディレクターの目に留まり、ロサンゼルスへ移り住んだ。その後はテレビドラマでデビューを飾り、『鬼警部アイアンサイド』などのテレビシリーズへ出演。1970年からレギュラーキャストとして出演したテレビドラマシリーズ『パートリッジ・ファミリー』で一躍認知度も上がり、役者としての地位を確実なものにした。同作品ではエミー賞にもノミネートされた。その後も様々な作品へ出演した。
パートリッジ・ファミリーとして1970年8月に発表したシングル「悲しき初恋（I Think I Love You）」がビルボードHot100で3週連続1位を記録。
1971年、シングル「チェリッシュ」「Cherish」でソロ・デビュー。1973年に発表したシングル「デイドリーマー」は全英シングルチャートで3週連続1位を記録した。

パートリッジ・ファミリー(The Partridge Family)はアメリカのTVドラマ。及び同ドラマに登場する音楽バンドの呼称。
ABCで放映された連続TVドラマ。未亡人となった母親を経済面で助けようと5人の兄弟姉妹が組んだバンド（母親もボーカルとして参加）が、マネージャーの手腕もあって人気を獲得。母親の運転するスクールバスで演奏旅行を行うようになり、その中で発生する様々な出来事を描く…という構成。バンド及び家族自体はドラマ制作の為に編成された架空の存在だが、番組内で歌唱／演奏された楽曲は実際にヒットした。最初のシングルである「悲しき初恋 (I Think I Love You)」は1970年12月のビルボードでシングルチャート1位を獲得し、その後リリースされたシングルやアルバムもチャートを上昇した。また主役格である長男のキース・パートリッジを演じたデヴィッド・キャシディも同番組によってアイドル歌手としての人気を獲得し、現実世界でソロ・ミュージシャンとして活動した。
