ホリデー・シーズンということで今回は、「すてきな雪景色　ウィンター・ワンダーランド Winter Wonderland 」エミリー・クレア・バーロウ Emilie-claire Barlow をピックアップ。

クリスマスソングとして歌われる「ウィンターワンダーランド（すてきな雪景色）Winter Wonderland」（1934年）は、フェリックス・バーナード作曲、リチャード・バーナード・スミス作詞の曲で、初録音はリチャード・ヒンバーとホテル・リッツカールトン・オーケストラですが、同年ガイ・ロンバルドによってカヴァーされ大ヒットし、以降何人ものミュージシャンが歌うスタンダードとなっています。

今回取り上げたのは、ちょっとおしゃれなジャズ・ヴァージョン。飾り気のない温かみのある歌声がキュート。クリスマス・アルバムとしていかがでしょう。
