アイルランド出身のシンガーソングライター、ヴァン・モリソンが1970年にリリースした3枚目のスタジオ・アルバムが『ムーンダンス Moondance』。ソロとしては初めて商業的に成功したアルバムで、ロック、フォーク、ソウル、ジャズ、トラッドといったものが絶妙にブレンドされた初のセルフ・プロデュース作品。全米アルバムチャートで29位、全英で2位を記録しています。

『ローリング・ストーン』誌のオールタイム・グレイテスト・アルバムで66位にランク・イン。
