１２月に入って本格的に寒くなってきました。こんな時には、冬らしい曲をと思って思いついたのが、この歌。けれど、訳そうと思って歌詞を見てみると冬らしい言葉はどこにもなく、また邦題にやられました。おそらくスウェーデンのグループと言うことで思いついたんじゃないでしょうか。ということで今回は、「木枯しの少女 She’s My Kind of Girl」ビョルン&ベニー Bjorn & Benny をピックアップ。
「木枯しの少女 She’s My Kind of Girl」は、後にABBAを結成することになるベニー・アンダーソンとビョルン・ウルヴァースBjorn Ulvaeus & Benny Anderssonのデビュー曲になります。曲も本人たちの共作ですが、ABBAの曲はほとんど全部ふたりの共作だから、そう考えると、このふたりとてつもないヒットを生み出したソングライター・コンビということになりますね。
もともと、スウェーデンで有名な別々のバンドで活躍していたふたりが、一緒に活動することになったデビューシングルですが、B面は、スウェーデンの映画「Inga II: The Seduction of Inga」で使われた「インガのテーマ Inga’s Theme」。スウェーデンやアメリカでヒットしています。少し哀愁を帯びた、さわやかで美しいメロディーが北欧らしさを感じさせます。
2年後の1972年になぜか日本でオリコンの週間チャート6位、18万8千枚の大ヒット。東京で開催された第3回世界歌謡祭に、恋人でコーラスとしてレコーディングにも参加したフリーダとアグネッタを一緒に連れて来て参加しています。もうすでに、ABBAですよね。

日本では、南沙織がカヴァー・アルバム「哀愁のページ」で歌っています。いかにヒットしていたかわかります。
そういえば、まだABBAの曲をひとつも取り上げていなかったんですね。あまりにヒット曲が多すぎて迷ってしまいます。
