今週は梅雨も後半、と言うか大雨による災害が心配です。ということで今回は、「雨に負けぬ花 Flowers never bend with the rainfall 」サイモン＆ガーファンクル Simon & Garfunkel 1966年 をピックアップ。
雨に負けぬ花 Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall は、Simon & Garfunkel のサード・アルバム「パセリ・セージ・ローズマリー・アンド・タイム Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme」 1966年に収録されたものが知られています。ぷろっこりが初めて聞いたのもこれ。

ですが、その前にポール・サイモン Paul Simon のソロ・アルバム 「ポール・サイモン・ソングブック The Paul Simon Songbook」1965年に収録されたのがオリジナルのようです。彼のギター弾き語りヴァージョンが聞けます。上のサード・アルバムにはこの曲を含めて数曲セルフカヴァーで収録されています。
