前回「今日を生きよう Let’s Live For Today 」グラスルーツ The Grass Roots をピックアップしましたが、今回も調子に乗ってグラスルーツの「恋は二人のハーモニー Two Divided By Love 」を行ってみましょう！って、なんだよ、このノリ。
9枚目のアルバム「Move Along」は、「恋は二人のハーモニー」「涙の滑走路 The Runway」「グローリー・バウンド Glory Bound」などのヒット曲がたっぷり。
グラスルーツ The Grass Roots は、60 年代後半から 70 年代前半にヒット・チャートの常連だったロック バンドだったことは、前回お話ししました。世界中で大人気。そしてこの曲。これぞダンヒル・サウンド。シングルのジャケットに「ヤンキー・サウンドの雄」でも、ほんとにそんな感じで流行ってました。この曲もイントロからがっつり入っているドラムが盛り上げてくれます。作詞作曲は、デニス・ランバート＆ブライアン・ポッターのコンビ。あんまり有名じゃないかもしれませんが、この頃にこのコンビの曲よく聴いていたたんです。もちろん、それは後から知りましたけど。たとえば、こんな曲があります。
